“Starry Blue” Macramé Dog Collar with Lapis Lazuli

Ultramarine blue with delicate golden highlights

“Starry Blue” is a handcrafted macramé dog collar by handmade4dogs, made from ultramarine blue nappa leather. Eleven lapis lazuli beads and a matching micro-macramé trim with gold-coloured metallic threads define its design. The collar measures 3.5 cm in width, has a curved profile and features a stainless steel martingale chain.

Each 8 mm bead sits at the centre of an oval knotted motif. Several fine rows of knots surround the beads and flow into one another. The gold-coloured metallic threads in the ultramarine blue cord echo the golden flecks in the lapis lazuli, carrying the interplay of blue and gold through both the stones and the knotwork.

Both the outer leather and the lining are made from ultramarine blue nappa leather. The edges of both leather layers are turned inwards to create rounded, neatly finished borders. Blue stitching follows the curved outline, while the leather tapers towards the chain at both ends.

“Starry Blue” is a one-of-a-kind piece, handcrafted in our Austrian workshop as part of the Makramee Art Collection. Its tonal colour scheme brings together leather, cord and stone, with their different textures becoming especially noticeable on closer inspection.

For this model, the size refers to a head circumference of 36/37 cm. The collar slips on over the head. When choosing the right fit, also consider how it sits around your dog’s neck and whether its width suits their neck length – for sighthounds and other breeds alike.
