My name is Emanuel Ganzer. I am a product designer, craftsman and someone whose life has been closely connected to dogs for decades.
handmade4dogs is not an anonymous brand or a company with a team working behind the scenes. Every product is designed, developed and crafted by me in my own workshop in Upper Styria, Austria.
I'm not interested in what looks fashionable for just one season. I want to create products that work in everyday life, are comfortable to wear and accompany your dog for many years.
For me, design and craftsmanship are inseparable – from the very first idea to the final stitch.
How It All Began
The roots of handmade4dogs go back to 2004. After many years working in production and design, I wanted to use my experience to create something of my own – products I could stand behind completely.
Dogs have been part of my life long before I established my workshop. Decades of experience in dog sports, breeding and everyday life with dogs have taught me that a product needs to do much more than simply look good in a photograph.
Since 2012, handmade4dogs has been based in Upper Styria, Austria, operating in its present form under my personal direction.
What began as an idea has grown into a workshop where product design, construction and manufacturing come together in one place.
And to this day, every one of these steps remains in my hands.
Design and Craftsmanship, All Under One Roof
At handmade4dogs, products are not created at the drawing board alone – nor simply at the workbench.
Design, material selection, construction and craftsmanship are connected from the very beginning.
This is the foundation of my approach: I don't design products merely to make a beautiful first impression. I design them to work in everyday life.
The result is durable dog collars, leads and accessories that are thoughtfully designed, carefully made and comfortable to wear – for dogs and for the people who share their lives.
Made to Last, Not Made for a Season
I don't develop products for a single season, and I don't create things that are meant to be replaced after a short time.
A good dog collar, lead or travel bed should fulfil its purpose reliably and bring enjoyment for many years.
For me, this means thoughtful construction, carefully selected materials and craftsmanship for which I take personal responsibility.
Every piece that leaves my workshop carries my signature approach to design and quality.
And above all, it should deliver on what handmade4dogs promises.
